Somerset Film is a registered charity, dedicated to education, training and film production through digital media, and operates out of The Engine Room, an accessible community media centre on Bridgwater's High Street.
Apart from providing a base, The Engine Room co-ordinates all Somerset Film activities including the YPFC and provides a coffe bar with internet access and other facilites which include licensed cinema, studio and edit suites, and 'drop-ins'
In the New Year, Somerset Film will be making a film with Bridgwater Carnival and director Julien Temple, and will work closely with local authorities; Bridgwater College; Building Schools for the Future; Youth Offending Team; County Museum Service; Primary Healthcare Trust; South West Screen and Reveal Somerset - an exciting, new visual arts initiative. They'll also be working on Jump Cuts, in partnership with the learning disabled community and Biggerhouse Productions...
On Track new project
Somerset Film has just been awarded funding by Somerset Rural Renaissance for a project called On Track, pilot support project to help develop businessess in the Creative Industries. We will be providing support for at least 12 rurally isolated film and video businessess in Somerset. Get in touch if you would like to be involved...

Studio Hire & Events
Our Studio and Coffee Bar can be hired for screening evenings andf events. We also run a wide variety of our own evets - see Forward Motion
